Autism & ADHD Assessments

So you think you might be neurodivergent?

You’ve come to the right place.

Getting assessed for Autism and/or ADHD can be overwhelming, that’s why I offer neurodiversity assessments that are affirming of your strengths, while acknowledging the challenges you may be facing due to living in an unsupportive neurotypical world.

I am passionate about helping assess those who have ‘fallen through the gaps’ due to their skill at masking or camoflauging their neurodivergent traits. This masking can be exhausting, leading to neurodivergent burnout and other serious issues.

Eligibility:

Assessments are currently available for people 16 years and older who are currently able to communicate verbally and comfortable with a telehealth assessment.

Autism

Autism assessments are conducted using the neurodivergent-affirming MIGDAS-2 diagnostic interview, psychometric testing, and a chat about your history and symptoms.

The assessment takes approximately 3 hours. This can be done in one session or broken down into ‘blocks’ depending on your preference.

ADHD

ADHD assessments are conducted using the neurodivergent-affirming DIVA-5 diagnostic interview, psychometric testing, and a chat about your history and symptoms.

The assessment takes approximately 2 hours. This can be done in one session or broken down into two one-hour ‘blocks’ depending on your preference.

Special note: If your primary goal for ADHD is to trial ADHD medication, you might consider seeing a Psychiatrist who specializes in ADHD, as they might require their own assessment prior to prescribing medication. This will save you the cost of having to pay for two separate assessments.

Autism + ADHD

Combined Autism and ADHD assessments are conducted using the MIGDAS-2, DIVA-5, psychometric testing, and a chat about your history and symptoms.

The assessment can take between 4-5 hours, which can be done over two sessions, or further broken down into blocks.

Do I need a report?

That depends on why you are getting the assessment done.

The comprehensive report contains the full results of your assessment (including diagnostic interview, psychometric questionnaires, and other assessment tools), examples of how you meet the diagnostic criteria, and a more thorough analysis of your neurotype. These reports are often required if you want to apply for funding or other supports (e.g., the NDIS). They are also helpful if you want to have a more thorough understanding of your assessment.

If you don’t need all those details and are interested in assessment for a better understanding of your neurotype, the no report option is a more affordable option. This includes a brief summary letter with the overall results of your assessment and whether or not you meet the criteria for diagnosis.

Additional Information

  • $500 deposit is required to secure your booking.

  • Bringing a parent, caregiver, or another adult who knew you during childhood to the assessment appointments can be beneficial in providing information about your development and behavior when you were younger.
